Age: 20-29
Many are graduate and postgraduate students, some young professionals.
Academic background: The arts and sciences, law, business, journalism, computer sciences, engineering and architecture. PitR is not intended for specialists in Polish Studies – though they are welcome. Most are from Canadian and American universities, but many have studied in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
Language: PitR is an English-language program.
Most students speak Polish, some do not. The global village is well represented. Besides English and Polish, other languages have included French, German, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Russian, Croatian, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Japanese and Zulu.
You can be Polish, part Polish, or not Polish at all. So long as you care about “things Polish”-- wherever you find them.
